The Spanish National Ballet’s latest production will be seen abroad for the first time after touring Spain.
Art is a reflection of the society in which it is created – and sometimes also a projection of how it is imagined. On the occasion of International Women's Day, we at Ballet Nacional de España want to pay tribute to the role of women in Spanish society by reflecting the evolution of how women are portrayed on stage.
Spain’s national dance company returns to the Aragonese capital four years after its successful participation in the Año Goya celebrations. Teatro Principal hosts a new show that mixes existing repertoire pieces with new creations from March 5th to 9th.
At the Ballet Nacional de España, we want to celebrate it by recalling "Aire con fuego", the poem Rafael Alberti dedicated to us on the occasion of our presentation at the Met in New York in 1988, under the direction of José Antonio. Ballet Nacional de España paid tribute to the Málaga-born artist with a performance in collaboration with Casa de Velázquez, the institution hosting the exhibition "Embrujo: Los mundos de Miguel de Molina" until October 27th. Afanador comes to Valencia’s Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía on 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th June, with a show which combines traditional Spanish dance with modern styles for a surrealist work: so we can see the world of flamenco through a distorting lens.
Ballet Nacional de España returns fo the international scene in London from 12th to 15th June, appearing at Sadler’s Wells Theatre to close London’s Flamenco Festival 2024.
Generaciones presents one of the Spanish classical works most beloved by dancers: Alberto Lorca’s Ritmos. The programme is completed by Estampas Flamencas and two solos that showcase the renewal of Spanish dance: Pastorela by Antonio Ruz and Jacaranda by Rubén Olmo.

Ballet Nacional de España and Compañía Nacional de Danza are celebrating a new edition of Dance for Parkinson's in collaboration with Asociación de Profesionales de la Danza en la Comunidad de Madrid (APDCM) for World Parkinson's Day. The activity is based on Dance for PD, an initiative created by the Mark Morris Dance Group and the Brooklyn Parkinson's People's Group more than 20 years ago, and currently present in more than 300 towns and communities around the world.
The Ballet Nacional de España and Orquesta Nacional de España will present Manuel de Falla's El Amor Brujo next Sunday, April 14, at 12 noon in the only family concert of the OCNE season, which will take place at the Auditorio Nacional de Música.
Ballet Nacional de España returns to the Flamenco Festival for the first time since 2018. As part of the festival, the Hispanic Society of America will host an event featuring Ballet Nacional de España as part of the closing ceremonies for the Sorolla Centennial.

Since its première at Madrid's Teatro de la Zarzuela, La Bella Otero has been performed in eight cities, on various national and international tours.
