El Teatro Calderón hosts this show about the legendary dancer from February 7th to 9th, with tickets sold out. Choreographed by Rubén Olmo and premièring in 2021, it offers a journey through the main stages of her eventful life.
This year, we dedicate our celebration to one of the essential figures in our country's musical history: Miguel de Molina. On the occasion of the exhibition dedicated to the "King of Copla," organised by Casa de Velázquez, we were able to learn more about this unique artist and pay tribute to a legacy that goes far.
Ballet Nacional de España will perform in four cities in Japan, including the capital, Tokyo. For Rubén Olmo’s first tour of Japan as director, BNE will present with "Generaciones" and "Invocación".
Ballet Nacional de España paid tribute to the Málaga-born artist with a performance in collaboration with Casa de Velázquez, the institution hosting the exhibition "Embrujo: Los mundos de Miguel de Molina" until October 27th. Ballet Nacional de España and Compañía Nacional de Danza are celebrating a new edition of Dance for Parkinson's in collaboration with Asociación de Profesionales de la Danza en la Comunidad de Madrid (APDCM) for World Parkinson's Day. The activity is based on Dance for PD, an initiative created by the Mark Morris Dance Group and the Brooklyn Parkinson's People's Group more than 20 years ago, and currently present in more than 300 towns and communities around the world.
The Ballet Nacional de España and Orquesta Nacional de España will present Manuel de Falla's El Amor Brujo next Sunday, April 14, at 12 noon in the only family concert of the OCNE season, which will take place at the Auditorio Nacional de Música.
Ballet Nacional de España returns to the Flamenco Festival for the first time since 2018. As part of the festival, the Hispanic Society of America will host an event featuring Ballet Nacional de España as part of the closing ceremonies for the Sorolla Centennial.

Ballet Nacional de España premières Afanador at Madrid’s Teatro Real on February 9th, 10th and 11th with a production that fuses Spanish and contemporary dance.
Since its première at Madrid's Teatro de la Zarzuela, La Bella Otero has been performed in eight cities, on various national and international tours.
Since its founding in 1978, the Spanish National Ballet has passed through different directors, headquarters and casts, all of which have shaped, molded and redefined the institution over its 45 years of existence, without ever losing sight of the purpose for which it was created: to preserve, disseminate and transmit Spain’s rich choreographic heritage, embracing its stylistic plurality and traditions.
La Bella Otero has sold out all three performances more than a month and a half in advance. The work will star Patricia Guerrero on the 14th and Noelia Ruiz on the 15th and 16th, and will feature the special collaboration of Maribel Gallardo.
Dramaturg and dance theorist Roberto Fratini brings us closer to the dramaturgy process in the production of 'Afanador'.
Afanador will be the major premiere of the season, directed and choreographed by Marcos Morau and based on the work of the Colombian photographer.
