Afanador opens the BNE’s new season in the Canary Islands

The Ballet Nacional de España will perform at the Auditorio de Tenerife on 5th and 6th September, and in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on 10th September.
The BNE presents a double bill from 11th to 22nd July: the world premiere of 'Flamenco-Rock-Andaluz' and 'Medea', a classic from the company’s repertoire.
Afanador lands in Ludwigsburg on June 19th and 20th. BNE continues to conquer European stages.
It will return to Teatro del Bosque in Móstoles on May 30th and 31st. 'Segunda piel', a solo by Miguel Ángel Corbacho, completes the program.
On May 15th and 16th, Carlos III University of Madrid will host Manuel de Falla’s emblematic work in its Auditorium, located on the Leganés Campus, at 8:00 p.m.

After its last performance at the Teatro de la Zarzuela this past July, Afanador will arrive in Rome to captivate Italian audiences. A total of two performances will be given on September 4th and 5th at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
After receiving numerous national awards and recognition from international audiences, Afanador, this original production by the Ballet Nacional de España, directed by Rubén Olmo, has captivated Madrid audiences. More than 10,000 spectators have enjoyed the 11 performances of Afanador at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, from Wednesday, July 9th, to July 20th.
The charity performance of Afanador will take place on July 9th at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, with all proceeds going entirely to UNRWA’s humanitarian work in Gaza. Tickets can be purchased through the entradas.com platform at www.solidaridadconpalestina.es. A zero-row donation option has also been made available for those who wish to support UNRWA’s humanitarian response in Gaza without attending the event.
Since its premiere in Seville, at the Teatro de la Maestranza on December 1st, 2023, 'Afanador' has received numerous awards that demonstrate the admiration of audiences and critics for this ballet.
The Spanish National Ballet’s latest production will be seen abroad for the first time after touring Spain.
