Actualidad

At the Ballet Nacional de España, we want to celebrate it by recalling "Aire con fuego", the poem Rafael Alberti dedicated to us on the occasion of our presentation at the Met in New York in 1988, under the direction of José Antonio. Be inspired by it and share your creations on social media with the hashtag #danzaenverso!

Dialogue with other disciplines opens up new paths for artistic creation. Poetry has always inspired us to dance, imagine choreographies, and represent worlds through body language. And dance has also inspired poets, as happened with Rafael Alberti and his Aire con fuego. We want you to travel with us along this two-way path between poetry and dance, and let it inspire you to create your own choreographies, poems about dance, or drawings illustrating this work dedicated to Spanish dance. You can find all the information in the video.

You can download the audio of the poem here.

Recited by our first dancer Eduardo Martínez, with background music from Poeta, by Vicente Amigo.
