World premiere by the Ballet Nacional de España at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, on 12 June 2015.
With Alento, we enter a personal proposal by Antonio Najarro, revealing a new aesthetic and stylistic direction for the BNE. A positive, fresh, vibrant and uplifting message is conveyed through a dynamic choreography full of life and sensitivity, performed by all the dancers of the Ballet Nacional de España.
Alento is a clear example of Najarro’s creative style, as well as his personal view on Spanish classical dance. A memory of his choreographic background, inspired by the score of the brilliant composer, guitarist, and travel companion Fernando Egozcue, who created a very rhythmic, sensitive music. Alento wears the exquisite designs of Teresa Helbig (ACME) and is lit by Nicolás Fischtel.
