#BNEenMovimientoPerpetuo

Alfonso Losa Choreographic Workshop

#BNEenMovimientoPerpetuo

The Ballet Nacional de España will continue this season to broadcast choreographic workshops led by various choreographers for the dancers at its headquarters. This initiative, entitled #BNEenMovimientoPerpetuo, began in 2020 and 2021 with the participation of Manuel Reyes, Belén López, Marcos Morau and Javier Barón.

On 7th October, at 2.15 pm, you can watch a working session featuring our company and flamenco dancer Alfonso Losa via our social media profiles.

“He is the most authentic contemporary representative of the Madrid school of flamenco dance and the essential bridge between its masters and the new generations: at the height of his artistic maturity, Alfonso Losa has succeeded in developing his own language through which he is able to convey the most authentic defining concepts of traditional dance via the new codes of contemporary dance, of which he is one of the architects.

Alfonso Losa has succeeded in harmonising the austerity, verticality and elegance of the Madrid school with a dizzying rhythm and prodigious physical mastery. He is the most classical of the contemporaries and the most contemporary of the classics.

A master of great masters, Alfonso Losa is constantly seeking the immutable truths contained within flamenco and does not compromise with trends.

He creates new frameworks without breaking the mould.

He builds without deconstructing. He works with authenticity. He dances as he is.”
