Career highlights

In 2006, Yu-Hsien chose to return to her home country and share what she had learned with children in Taiwan. She began working as a Spanish dance and art teacher at the Taiwan Mountain School (Taoyuan, Kaohsiung, Nan’ao and Wuta), alongside her mother, Lien Hua Ho. It was there that she began to develop her career in teaching and creation, always understanding life through dance. In Taiwan, she taught her students the techniques of Spanish dance. Her recognition as an expert in Spanish dance in Taiwan encouraged her to embark on a professional career as an artist.

In 2017, she received two grants from Taiwan’s National Arts Council for the project Vuela Vuela. In 2021, she received four grants from Taiwan’s Ministry of Arts for the creation of Carmen Bolero Inmortal.
